Estates Manager

Grade 8 £41,545 - £48,161

As Estates Manager, you will manage and be responsible for all services relating to the estate. You will ensure the Glasgow School of Art's estate effectively and efficiently supports the ongoing academic, research and business activities of the School.

You will be a chartered professional within the built environment, for example, a registered architect, chartered building surveyor or similar. You must be able to demonstrate substantial experience and ability at a senior level, within a multi-disciplined organization, preferably but not essentially in a higher education institution. Some experience of dealing with a grade A listed building would be desirable.

Facilities Manager

Grade 6 £26,666 - £ £30,913

As Facilities Manager, you required to take responsibility for the customer-focused management and development of a group of property-related services.

You should be able to demonstrate significant experience in a multi-disciplined facilities organisation, preferably, but not essentially, in a higher/further education institution or similar. A relevant qualification and/or training/experience in architecture, surveying, facilities management or similar disciplines would be beneficial.

Print & Dye Technician – Textiles (1.0FTE)

8 Months Fixed Term

£23,002 - £26,665

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and advising students including the demonstration of the use of machinery, equipment, materials and processes, in line with Health and Safety practices and regulations.

You will have an appropriate qualification in an area related to Textiles, and/or experience of working within the discipline. You will have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and procedures and an extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of Printing and Dyeing to a professional standard.

A genuine enthusiasm for working with students and academic staff is essential as are strong communication and organisational skills.

DOMESTIC ASSISTANT

The successful applicant will be an experienced domestic assistant, with a broad knowledge of cleaning and domestic duties within public areas, toilets, offices and working areas such as studios and workshops. An ability to use the full range of electrical cleaning equipment (scrubbers, polishers, driers, etc.) is desirable, although training will be given.

The Digital Design Studio (DDS) has a key role within the Glasgow School of Art in delivering high profile research in advanced 3D visualisation, graphics technologies and animation, whilst maintaining a range of dedicated research programmes with industry.

The DDS is currently looking to appoint highly motivated and exceptionally talented 3D modellers. Amongst your skills, you will have experience of working on architectural modelling and animation projects and should have the ability to generate photorealistic renderings.

General Office Assistant - MSA

11 months fixed term

Grade 1 £12,461 - £13,428 per annum

As General Office Assistant within the Mackintosh School of Art you will provide general office and clerical assistance to the administrative team to facilitate the provision of a high quality administrative service in support of the academic programme.

You will have a minimum of five Standard Grade (or equivalent) qualifications as well as excellent I.T, keyboarding and communication skills. You will have experience of providing administrative/secretarial support, preferably within an HE/FE environment or within the architectural profession.
